I requested a repair of my attic steps or suggestion for alternatives. The tech was on time and knowledgeable. The wood steps from 1960s were loose and he said the springs were in dangerous condition. He recommended a metal replacement. The replacement is NOT like steps but steeper, like a ladder. The cost of the ladder, two wood eight feet long 2x4, screws, etc. to attach, paint and a paint kit he quoted as $1050. He added labor and gave me ten percent veterans discount on labor. He started day one but did not finish. The next morning, he arrived at 8:00 am as promised and finished about 10:00 am. He painted one coat. I asked for the remaining paint and brushes but he said he had contaminated it by mistake with dust and debris so could not give to me. The price was as he estimated. The price was about $500 more than the other next estimate but he could start immediately, so I went with Handyman. During installation he did not use but one 2x4. He also cut away wood in the attic, which left an unfinished appearance that I will need to fix when my knee replacement allows. Overall, I found work about par for todays workers but certainly not high quality. I would use him again in a rush. He was nice and personable. He got right on the job. He was on time and prepared. His work above the attic was just not as finished as I had expected for the higher price.

Can't say enough about the great work that Kolton Kruzic did at our house. From the estimate that was conducted to the finished product was fantastic. The turnaround time was the best I've seen in getting work scheduled and done. He replaced various lighting fixtures, installed ceiling fans, changed out our kitchen faucet and even replaced some vinyl siding. He was efficient, did quality work and was quick. Add to that a great price for all the great work he accomplished, that's a winning combination. You need work done around the house? Mr. Handyman Chattanooga is the place to call!

This was my first experience with Mr. Handyman, and I am very happy to share my appreciation of all that this involved. First, the appointment, reminders, photo of technician, and tracking arrival is important to me as a woman living alone in the city. Second, the estimate provided proved correct - no worries about finding more money at the end. Most importantly, third: the work done was excellent in every way. My project involved dry wall repair in two areas ( after installation of new ceiling fixtures) but also to make a small repair to a previous (imperfect ) job. All work was done according to schedule with a beautiful result. I would also like to add that while this project cost a little more than expected I fully support higher pay for skilled craftsmen and the needed technical support at the local level. I have had my share of hiring a second person to finish the botched repair of another. Hopefully, with Mr. Handyman that is all in the past!

High ceiling fan installation. The positives are their quick response to the request and they came on time or called to come early. The tech had to come back twice to get the fan/light wired correctly. He had difficulty as the ceiling is very high and the electrical box was smaller than needed. He remained pleasant throughout despite the difficulty. We now have to work with the home builder as the electrical box is no longer flush with the beam. We thought pricing was high even though they discounted the 2nd visit.

I hired this company to come out and correct two interior doors in a house that we recently bought. The handyman told me that he would be able to fix the doors that were currently installed to where they would close and latch. He did not give me any indication as to how much this would cost, not even a ballpark range. He was here for 1.5 hours, And the total bill was $277. I asked how much of that was labor and how much was materials. He answered that there was no charge for materials, and that all of it was labor. If you do the math that comes out to $185 an hour in labor charge. Even after the work was done The doors do now close but have a very poor finish, not indicative of 185$/hr quality. Light can be seen through all three sides when the door is closed. Needless to say, I was very dissatisfied with the quality of work and will not be using the company again.

The professionals at Mr. Handyman did great work at our house. They installed three different walls with drywall, mudded, and painted. The workmanship is superb and the walls look beautiful. Brad was so helpful! I use a wheelchair and have some movement issues and I needed help anchoring my sink in my bathroom so it wouldnt come away from the wall every time I held onto it for support. He came over and helped to troubleshoot the issue and found a solution all in the course of maybe one and a half hours! I was so grateful and he was so kind and respectful.

The process of the inspection was real good and straight forward, but once it came to the actual work it wasn't as great. I had a whole shower remodel with the subfloor under needing replaced due to water damage. When discussing what to do we mentioned just keeping our showers doors that we already had and put on the new stand. That wasn't done and they ordered complete new ones, but that wasn't mentioned until the last day. When putting on the new trim on the walls, it doesn't line up right and it has a gap on the top, I'll have to have it fixed again. The patching along the shower was very messy and all over the side of the new shower. --Update-- Terry and Bo came back out and fixed everything that was previously stated before. They installed the shower doors well, fixed the bog gap on the wall trim and the three holes that were left from before.

We worked with Brian, and he has been absolutely wonderful to work with...he is professional, with great attention to detail and deep knowledge on a range of home issues and project types. They were on time and extremely communicative. The service isnt cheap - you should expect to pay for labor and the cost of materials these days, but you get what you pay for in quality and in the time saved trying to do something yourself that you may not have experience in at the cost of whatever else matters to you. I found all the staff to be fair-minded, honest, and responsive. Brian exceeded our expectations, finding ways to improve the project we hadnt even thought of that didnt require additional time. I also like the fact that this franchise is woman-owned. Recommend - and if the technician they send isnt right for your project in your view, my advice would be to address it quickly and know that the company as a whole really does care about customer service and quality.

I have never left a negative review in my life, but I just called to ask for a quote to repair a dishwasher and they took all my information down, and then said they don't do anything with dishwashers. So I do know why they wasted 20 minutes of my and their time, and took information, if they can't use it. Very sketchy.

I told him the estimate the receptionist had given me on the phone, which was well under $3,000. Now, I totally understand that she didn't really know the scope of the work and it could be more.
