My husband and I tried to renovate our bathroom. We watch way too much DIY TV. We must have been out of my minds thinking that we can create that we imagined. So I searched for a reputable contractor. I found a few but one company stood out more than the others. Their price was competitive so we decided to hire them. And were so glad we did. We was so happy with the results of our master bathroom that we also hired them to renovate our kitchen. The renovations came out so nice. Had them come in and re-do our kitchen at the recommendation of our interior designer. Nice folks, easy to work with but its shocking how badly they messed up our floor. Needed a wood floor installed to match the original 1940s that was there. The first attempt was 95% good and after discussion they made good on repairing the mistakes. I got the Ill be here the whole day to oversee to make sure they dont mess it up! Then they brought in the local high school vo-tech club to practice on my floors. I have visible 2 inch pieces of wood. They nailed directly thru the TOP of each board. I have probably a dozen floor boards that were installed that way. They damaged already existing flooring and didnt repair it. And then they didnt even move the stove and refrigerator out to stain underneath. I know your wife loves them I didnt want to damage them by moving them because theyre so expensive! Yeah, okay. And his whole crew stood there and didnt say a thing. They were smart enough to actually stain the floor before I could see the flooring so that I knew what a HUGE hassle it was going to be to do the floors a third time. Its a ranch house and the wood floors go through the whole house so if I want the kitchen done again the whole house has to be done again. Smart on his part- he just wore me down. A complete disaster if ever there was one. What was I gonna do, give them a THIRD try?!? For some reason I paid in full and the owner had the gaul, in front of his wife and employees, to tell me hed like to send a photographer over so he can submit our kitchen for a design award. That was the icing on the poop cake. Real classy. The kitchen is ABSOLUTELY beautiful otherwise, and I hate waking into it every day. Itll make us a killing when we sell the house. Funny thing is, we never talked of selling the place before this happened.

I called the office and spoke to Tiffany to set up an appointment to come into the showroom. Upon meeting with Tiffany she listened to all our design ideas and showed us materials that would fit our budget. Everything to chose from is right there in showroom. Convenient and hassle free. No going from store to store to get ideas and prices. Shy came out to our home to take photos and measurements to prepare a work proposal. Talking with Shy is easy as he took the time to listen to our ideas and put it all together. Pricing was very competitive but for us the attention to detail and accessibility shown by Shy made the decision easy. On day one Anthony, Mike and crew showed up for demo. Before doing anything they covered all floors, steps and walls with tarps even making a plastic wall to contain dust. Day 1 demo complete with all debris removed like they were never there. Anthony was there everyday for the next couple of weeks and no matter what we asked or said or changed our minds on design never said no. Any issues where quickly addressed. Shy would come by to check on progress and make sure we where happy. Bathroom came out amazing. Couldnt have done it without Tiffany and her design ideas, Shy and his detail orientated approach and Anthonys craftsmanship. Highly recommend Milano of Richmondtown

HIGH FIVE! We needed to convert the tub to be shower only (ADA) for a family member coming home from rehab. We are new to dealing with renovation and was afraid of the cost. This is the second time Im using Shy and his team from Milano of Richmondtown. First time was to install flooring and drywall in our basement which they did a fantastic job, but the second time was after this job. I called shy a couple of months ago to come over and he came over right away. Shy thought he was coming to our home for a complaint but little did he know how much we loved his work. Its very hard to find a reputable company/person that you can actually trust to start and of course finish your project but since knowing what kind of person shy was from the first project he did for us thats why we decided that the time has come to do our kitchen over only using him and his team. And as the first project was flawless this project was even more flawless. Getting great assistance from Tiffany at their showroom she showed us and walked us through the cabinet types, styles and colors and tiles and when the project started Anthony made sure that the entire team were on the same page. Since we were staying at the house while the renovation was happening they made sure to cover all doorways to the bedrooms with a zipper to open and close as needed to make sure minimal dust was entering. Over all our new kitchen is exactly what we wanted and dreamed of especially spending this amount of money. In conclusion we highly recommend Shy if youre looking to do any project in your home. 2nd review: Another outstanding renovation by Milano. When my parents began to have mobility issues, we knew exactly who to call for a bathroom renovation. My mother loved working with Tiffany in the one stop shop showroom to pick materials that were stylish and also safe. Shy and team completed the reno within 10 days and tranformed the entire functionality of the bathroom. A walk in shower, with a seat and grab bars were installed, along with a stackable washer and dryer in the old linen closet. The outcome was beautiful!! New pictures attached (pictures 7 through 11). First review: We had a terrific experience utilizing Milano of Richmondtown for our recent home renovations. Two separate projects were completed on time and both exceeded our expectations. First, was a downstairs bathroom expansion and remodel which transformed a very tight space into a spa like retreat. Followed by an entire first floor tear out and installation of new hardwood flooring throughout (3 bedrooms, LR, DR, and kitchen); including knocking down walls to create an open floor plan; and installing a new island to match our existing kitchen cabinetry. Shy, Tiffany, Anthony, and the entire team were great to work with. They gave great advice and clearly explained the process, gave amazing suggestions on materials, and were always responsive to any questions we had, especially when some initial plans were modified due to space and structural issues (and last minute additions from us). It took me a long time to meet and vet various contractors to finally find the one that Id like to use for my kitchen renovation. And for all of you nonbelievers out there, I just want to say that great contractors still exist, hence my FIVE STAR review. From the moment Shy came out to estimate my project till the the final day of completion I had an absolute great experience. First of all, I was so relived to be able to find almost everything I needed for the project from his showroom, I didnt need to order from Home Depot or buy things elsewhere it was like a one stop shop. They were done in 18 days and did an absolutely beautiful job at a great price. Whenever I called shy with a question he picked up right away and answered my questions.
