I recently hired Shane Studdard with Gratis Dryall Inc for a drywall project at one of my properties and was left deeply disappointed and compelled to share my experience, urging others to reconsider before using their services. The job itself mudding a small room was completed satisfactorily. However, the professionalism and conduct of the business afterward were far below any acceptable standard. Following the drywall work, I discovered a clogged kitchen sink and visible drywall mud in the strainer, which was not an issue prior to their service. After a plumber confirmed the p-trap was clogged with drywall mud, I contacted the company, hoping for a straightforward resolution. To my dismay, Shane not only denied responsibility but also accused me, a real estate investor with a commitment to professionalism, and the independent plumber of dishonesty. This accusation was made without any effort to verify the facts, despite the clear evidence. I requested a reduction in the invoice price to account for the plumber services, but my request was denied. This experience has been eye-opening. The lack of accountability, coupled with a readiness to discredit clients and third-party professionals without justification, reflects poorly on Gratis Drywall. I urge anyone considering using their services to take this account into perspective. The way this situation was handled speaks volumes about the business ethics and customer service you can expect. Please see the attached pictures that clearly show the drywall mud in the sink and the subsequent plumbing issue. It's not just about the quality of the work, but also the integrity and professionalism of the service provider. In my opinion, the handling of this situation by Gratis Drywall was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. The disregard for factual evidence and the quickness to levy unfounded accusations has led me to decide never to use their services again. I strongly recommend others to be cautious and consider alternative providers who value customer service and professional integrity.
