I cannot say enough about how great GCM Restoration was with my kitchen floor repair after a leak. I wish I could give them 10 stars. They handled working with the insurance company and was able to get them to cover all damages. The communication about the work and next steps was outstanding throughout the process. I would recommend them over and over again. The repair was about 2 weeks and would have been less if my calendar allowed. Octavius, David, Alex, Eugene and all the others were fantastic and and went far beyond my expectations. The initial words I can think of for this review would be you cannot go wrong with the choice to allow GCM the opportunity to reconstruct your home! My story is a little unique. I am a first time homebuyer, and within a month of moving in, the half bathroom toilet connection downstairs, had leaked, causing severe damage to my entire downstairs. This included all of the flooring, continuous throughout the first floor, as well as my kitchen cabinetry. To say it was a nightmare is the least way to describe it. I immediately had to figure out how to make an insurance claim and go through the mitigation and then the restoration process. I have to start by saying, the gentleman hired by GCM, David, is quite literally the best in the business! This man is highly knowledgeable about insurance, understands the ins and outs, and truly fights for his customers to receive not only the fair payout, but the necessary payout to put their house back to its original state. This process took a few weeks, but David was persistent, and thoroughly calculated the necessary costs in addition to providing the documentation to support his findings. I knew I was in great hands, trusting him to run point with my insurance company. He copied me on all email correspondence, involved me when necessary to provide what was being asked of me, and came back to the table with money, not only to reconstruct my house, but to make it even better! Once insurance had processed payout, the construction team started in. Issac and his crew were hands down some of the best. Alex stepped in from time to time to assist, and as an entire team, they truly made this experience an unforgettable one. I cannot even begin to describe the agony and unknown fear throughout this whole process. Octavius and his team did a fantastic job explaining everything to me, providing me options, allowing me the opportunity to meet with his vendors to pick out items for my kitchen that I would truly love. Even throughout the whole thing, I added some additional construction items, and Octavius and his team were happy to oblige. There was even a weight-bearing beam that I had put across a ceiling, instead of a column that was holding up the wall. That was a pretty rigorous project, but Octavius identified the best contractors to perform the job, and you would have no idea there was even a beam there in the first place. in addition, I changed out the entire flooring on my second floor, to match my downstairs flooring I had chosen. This included them refinishing my staircase, and everything is beautiful! Not only was the process thorough and well communicated, but the team is still very eager to assist. One of the cabinets in my kitchen, just a week ago, had a loose mechanism, and the cabinetry contractor came right out and fixed the problem with no hesitation. One of the most amazing features they offer is a company construction cam. This allows the opportunity for you to watch the progress, especially if you are in my shoes where I was fully displaced from the home. The construction team uploads their photos daily, so you can watch the progress of your house from afar. The entire process was so thorough and so well communicated. I cannot stress that fact enough. They even have a group text chain where you will be included with your construction crew, and they will ask questions or get clarifying answers throughout the whole thing, to ensure it is done right the first time. Following all of construction, they will do a few walk-throughs to ensure there is not any additional areas that need to be touched up. Octavius drove all the way across town just to personally walk through the house and pick out items that were maybe not seen by others. In short, there is no other company I would've chosen. I am more than happy with my decision, and will refer them to everyone in my network! Do yourself a favor and take away the already established stress from a home issue, and hire GCM. Their process, thoroughness, and craftsmanship will put you at ease.
