Had some people come out to paint my back deck that hasnt been painted in over a decade. The contractors were extremely professional and were done in an afternoon! The tile installation, waterproofing, and plumbing work were carried out with great care. The long-standing water leakage problem we had has been completely resolved. The tiles were laid evenly and symmetrically, with smooth grout lines. High-quality materials were used for the waterproofing, and the team explained each step during the process, which gave us confidence. The old plumbing issues were fixed and reorganized, making everything much easier to use and giving us real peace of mind. They responded to my request for estimate faster than the other three businesses I reached out to and were equally fast in generating and sending an estimate for the work. The technician, Jesus, arrived on time, was extremely pleasant, gave clear feedback on what needed to be done in my bathroom, and didn't hesitate to do the work in my basement even though we realized it was more complicated and would take longer than we thought. I'm so happy I chose them to work with, will continue to reach out to them in the future, and will give my neighbors their contact information for any work they may need in the future.

So, confused why my review from September last year, 2023, is not showing. Horrible experience with door replacement and now, when I went to clean the transom above one of the doors I see why it is foggy. The glass is cracked and only could have been done when the doors were replaced. Consistent problems with that door since it was installed. I hope this post doesn't disappear as well. Issues with quality and customer service. Avoid!

AVOID! They plumbed my new bath (after some unnecessarily complicated communications) last year but this week the ceiling directly below their work was wet again. Ive been calling and emailing them for over two weeks and they are ignoring me. They keep saying Ill get someone to call you back right away and they never do.

After providing ample video and information to get an accurate estimate on water damage due to flooding in DC; they gave me a bad quote (told me there was no water damage and they could give me a new drain system and replace some floors where there had been staining previously. Unfortunately there was water damage and because of how long they took it turned into mold. I had asked the estimators to check for water and mold damage but they said there was no need. I trusted them and it wasnt until they came to do the repairs they found additional damage. They overcharged me in comparison to other contractors (by $3000). But I was stuck since they were already on site. They tried to say I was unresponsive and thats why the damage got worst, although I have evidence to the contrary, especially knowing I wouldnt want water damage in my house because of the ramifications. They arent worth the price or time. I never write reviews but I dont want anyone to experience what I did. The quality of work was good; however, that doesnt make up for the weeks and weeks of stress I dealt with, the fact that the estimator was awful and management isnt supportive at all. Dont waste your time or money. You can get the same quality at better prices with better people

William and Marcos did a wonderful job installing a new cover for the exterior wall heat vent! They came right on time to the house and carefully examined the area that needed attention. The job was done swiftly. They also helped inspected the other vent cover for wellness. Especially worth to mention, they cleaned up two deserted bird nests inside the heat duct built up during the period without a cover. Just to imagine what dust or other debris could come into the house if they had not carefully cleaned up the duct before installing the new cover. I felt very luckily that William and Marcos did the job to prevent it from happening in the future.

Repairman who came was very pleasant, polite, and considerate, however, can't recommend company due to rather exorbitant pricing. In our case received a $320 estimate to enlarge a pre-existing plumbing/electric access door in a closet. Thought that was at least $70 over reasonable price but decided to proceed anyway. Materials were essentially 2x2' section of plywood sheet, two hinges, a $1.00 hook and eye latch, and four pieces of wood to frame edges of plywood board (no painting). Final bill came in over $360.00 (over the already high estimate). I ended up throwing their latch away and replacing with my own $5 spring loaded latch which had to be mounted at bottom corner because board/door was too warped. I could have done this myself with $50 in materials in about 90 minutes max. Lesson learned. I advise shopping around for a more reasonable quote if you get an estimate from this company.

Awesome service! Ask for William if you need tile work done! I recently got the shower valve in my bath upgraded and it required removing 9 tiles around the handle leaving a gaping hole in the wall. William was able to get the tiles re-installed with the new handle and you wouldnt even be able to tell there had been a hole there. If you need a handyman, call Expert Handyman. Ill definitely be using them again!

The carpenters from Expert Handyman & Remodeling, William and Marcelo, had a serious challenge. They needed to build a stair railing in my rental townhouse before a city inspection that afternoon. I had gotten good advice and picked everything up from TW Perry a few days before, so all the necessary materials (handrail, posts, balusters, rosettes, hardware) were on site. William & Marcelo set up their saw in the back patio, so most sawdust stayed outside. They set up drop cloths covering the whole first floor and whenever they did drill or cut inside, they frequently ran their shop vac beside the drill so there was no cleanup at the end for me or my tenants to deal with. In other situations, I might have left the job and been available by phone in case questions arose, but this time I stayed so was able to decide right away on a few issues that came up, which was probably key. With the inspection less than an hour away, William and Marcelo kindly agreed to postpone their lunch break to complete the last section of railing so it would be done before the inspection. Then they cleared everything out of the way and left and the inspector arrived for the moment of truth. The house passed inspection with flying colors. Then the crew came back after lunch for a final hour of tightening, sanding & puttying, and quality checking. William and Marcel did a fantastic job, as did the folks I worked with in the Expert Handyman office estimating and scheduling the work and in addressing the time sensitivity in this case. Well done!
