Gave this business a second chance to make a good impression. Recieved every excuse in the book everytime a deadline was not met (which was weekly) a project we were told would take a week max, ended up taking 3+ months and it still never got finished, had to terminate the job, and cut our losses. Was really hoping for a better outcome the second time, but shame on us for giving second chances-only to be completely taken advantage of. Had other local builders come in to do other work & they spoke very negative of the business, as it sounds like they have taken advantage of MANY other locals in our area, lots of unfinished projects out there because of this "business". My advice, require references, written contracts, and NEVER pay in advance, you will regret it. The following was posted on Facebook and they said to share it . Please avoid working with Vicente construction for any of your home construction needs. He was hired to do many jobs within our house and we finally got one job done and ended it... V started our bathroom on May 20th 2021 and just finished December 20, 2021. He took our money and did not complete any part of the bathroom to our satisfaction and I dont think we are to hard to please.... - His floor tiles are EXTREMELY UNEVEN - My new door wont even open more than half way because of the unevenness of his work - the shower tiles are very uneven - The grout isnt filling all areas between the tiles - the trim is not even - He nailed the trim up but never finished it (wood filler and paint) - he has my shower wall curving in - he didnt even mud over all the screws in the wall - he never finished painting where he smeared grout on the ceiling and walls - he did not do any caulking around the shower - he took my trim paint with him to paint my door but never returned it... $50 later - my tiles that were cut down all have cracks there is not a clean cut... - he spilled large chunks of mud or grout on my new tub and never cleaned it up - he did a knock down texture however left one wall with regular texture - he never cleaned up anything - he made my closet to the exact width of Sheetrock rather than where I would want it so thankfully my dad fixed it. - he left large lumps of mud scattered throughout the floor... Im sure thats why his floor is not level (Im sure he never cleaned up the dried mud) - paint was splashed within the old bathroom - they never closed the vents during demolition so all sorts of debris got into the ductwork - I paid for a dumpster however none was provided and here sits an entire pile stuff that was ripped out of the old room/scraps and a box of new screws that he tried to throw out with our scraps - I paid for $2700 worth of LVL beams to which he never delivered... he gave me a refund of $1200 for those beams -Im sure that I can think of many more things but please beware of this person/construction company.... I will be adding photo albums of the process and the bathroom we ended up with

McCain Drywall and Construction located in Nashua, Iowa were very professional and went the extra mile. Friendly and try to keep within your budget. Easy to work with. Would recommend to anyone.
