At first, he was nice and show up on time doing his job, I paid him half of the $, the job wasn't done the way it should have been, I asked him to come back to finish the job, he scheduled to come back and ask me to pay the rest of due $, I said but you haven't done the job, he then said just pay me some and hold some till I come back, so I hold only $50 and gave him the rest, I also gave him the key to access the property. He never came back, no respond after a few called and text. No responsibility person at all. He knew well that I am going to write bad review on him, so he smarts he mark his google page as temporarily inactive or temporarily close something like that so I couldn't write a review. Today, I went through my file and saw his business card so here I am.

He contracted to install 3 sheets of drywall in a water damaged ceiling with orange pill finish. The job became a nightmare because Dan walked in and decided to do what he like. He did not do orange pill finish. He rushed through the job with the room corners not joined completely. He explained that this would be alright the following day. The next when I return to paint, I found so many flaws, like gaps in the corners, stains on the ceiling. He only replaced half a sheet and repaired the rest instead of replacing all the three sheets as contract. I called him to ask him to come and he talked like he would come but after waiting a while with him not showing then I texted him to ask if he was coming, he texted back that he is sick. I had to remud the conners and use kilz on stain. This guy did about a 4 hours job in less than 1.5 hours and left a lot of mess both inside and outside. He needs to retire and stop taking advantage of others. If there's any thing less than a star that's what Dan should get.

I am so disappointed with the job that Dan did at our house. We wanted to smooth out our walls in our living room from an orange peel texture. When he came to give us a quote, we explained what we wanted and his first reaction was to look at us like we were crazy. That should have raised a red flag(My fault) He seemed to be very confused about the simple job of making walls smooth and painting them. He then couldn't give us a price and said he would get back to us but that it would be less then $1,000. When he called us back it was more then $1,000. We ended up doing the job with him because he was very well recommended by someone we know, who obviously doesn't know him well. The job turned out horrible. I had to keep pointing out mistakes he made and to make things worse he painted over the edges of all my doors and shutters because he wasn't careful and then refused to fix them. He was not happy that I was claiming what we agreed upon, so after, he proceded with an attitude and began to slam his tools and seemed to be finishing the job even worse. He has no ability to paint or do anything in this field. I cannot stress enough how uneven and rough the walls look and the paint job had drips everywhere. There was a point where he asked me: "do you see anything else wrong with the walls?" I had to close my eyes and count to 10 because I really thought it was a joke. At the end when I complained about what a terrible job he tried to leave me with, he played victim by saying he painted the walls to be nice because our deal was only to slick out the walls. Interesting enough his own estimate writing by him says "paint job" included. I am so overburdened, now I have to pay someone else to come and re-do the job. Also be-careful his tax ID is expired!

I wish I could leave no star. He just left my house after giving me different quotes that kept increasing. This is after he texted me a possible quote. I asked for a interior painting quote which I never got. I tried calling him to see when he could start the job he texted back "never" and that he didn't like me. He's not a personable person, he was cold stoic, rude and just all around not a nice person. His actions depicted someone who didn't like people of a different persuasion. I didn't know that business owners can elect not to do business with someone if they don't like them.
