5 stars are not enough to portray the fantastic job Brett/Bunz Painting did on our home! Brett was always punctual, professional, and personable - a true man of his word. His knowledge of his craft is top notch - down to picking the perfect time and weather to paint the garage door since too hot/too much sun is a problem but so is too cool. He spent the time it took to prep everything right - including power washing all surfaces, scrapping, filling, and caulking. He even took down our old basketball hoop and prepped the area so well that after it was painted you never would have known a basketball hoop was ever there! All surfaces were primed and had either 2-3 coats of paint applied, depending on the surface needs. And he made sure to get the right paint formulations so our paint job will stand up to our wacky WI weather! Brett's attention to detail was off the chart - he wasn't happy with how our shutters were looking and took them back to his shop for a complete overhaul. And he treated our home like it was his own - everything was protected and preserved - no trampled plants or paint drips/over spray anywhere! Brett also is co-owner of a general contracting business - which turned out to be a good thing as on the last day of our painting project, our garage door torsion spring broke - within 24 hours Brett had folks out to fix it and they did a great job too! Needless to say, we will be using Brett/Bunz Painting for years to come as we have plenty of other home projects to finish up before retirement! Some final details - our project was a complete exterior of a 1.5 story Cape Cod home with a 2 car detached garage with attached covered patio. Painted were all exterior walls, patio ceiling, shutters, storm and exterior doors, garage door, soffits/downspouts, and chimney. Brett/Bunz Painting gave a us a very fair quote/estimate for the amount of labor and materials that were involved and when complete, what we paid was what we had been quoted - we were thrilled!

My usual painter wasnt available. Now i have a new painter! Brett was great, communication was perfect and he was super accommodating. Initially i needed him to paint a cabinet and then added a bathroom, then we changed colors and did the bathroom again the next day-Brett didnt flinch. Had him back to do some other work afterwards. Strongly recommend you go with any other painting company! Seriously, save yourself from a huge amount of stress and do not make the same mistake I did. While my place looks better than it did - the amount of stress, unprofessionalism, & unethical acts the last 10 days or so has completely destroyed anything good they did at my house! Initially, this was shaping up to be a positive experience until Brett increased the price by $500 several days prior to finishing & said, "I need you to sign the new contract so we can continue working." And after I reluctantly signed he states, "Ok, now we can continue working." Of course, Brett denies saying this. Brett decided to change the price back to his original quote prior to texting me an offer for $500 off - to secure the job. Brett denied this too. I told him to check his text messages and of course - the texts exchanged between us had somehow gone missing on his phone? So I showed him on my phone the exact conversation where he offered $500 less than his original quote, and he just shook his head & insisted I pay the new quote. The quotes that were sent on March 28th & 29th, respectively, and said the exact same thing - that there was absolutely no difference in the work being done - even though the 2nd / lesser quote was the one he claimed was incorrect, and the 1st / higher quote was the correct one. Once again, Brett denied this too. Seeing the pattern yet folks?! Brett insisted the lesser quote, (Again, 2nd quote) didn't include the demo, drywall, patching, etc. And again, there's absolutely no difference either of the first 2 quotes as far as what was being done. In the 3rd quote, (where I was pressured into signing for work to continue) the price increased back to the price in the FIRST quote that I said was too much. The evening when he increased the price he rambled on about he messed up the 1st quote, and sent the wrong one for me to sign the second time, and how it was somehow my fault for him having to go back n' forth between quotes - which caused him to send the incorrect quote (Again, to be crystal clear, the 'incorrect quote' was apparently the 2nd / lesser quote he sent after the text offering the discount. The first quote was the price I said was too high for me, and he followed up with that text offering $500 off. Here's a copy of the text offering the discount: "Hey Michael, I relooked over my numbers. The lowest I could go for your project is $$$$. That's a $500 dollar savings. If you like that and wanna go ahead with starting this week, I'll just need to send you an updated estimate so you can sign it and we can get the ball rolling. Let me know. Thanks Brett" Be forewarned: They make you buy the paint, however, he did allow me to use their contractor discount at Sherwin Williams on top of the several thousands I was already paying for just labor & materials. Initially, I was going to give Bunz a 5-star review, however, working with Bunz ultimately developed into an absolute nightmare! What's really disturbing is what Brett said he was going to do to the completed work when I said I'll only pay you according to the original quote we agreed upon. Brett repeatedly threatened to "ruin" the work he did in the last room. Three times, Brett stated he wanted to "ruin" the work he did. To which I quickly responded, you're going to destroy my property?! You're threatening to physically destroy my property?!" Brett, "Pay me my money!" And yes, this conversation was recorded. I knew this conversation was not going to end well, and I wanted evidence if needed for the police - who I requested to stop by shortly after Brett left. So yes, a police incident report was filed given the threat of physical violence to my property. So if you want a painter who will do a great job, lie, increase your price while your walls are ripped apart, elude (twice) to walking off the job, and ultimately threaten physical violence (3 TIMES!) "I wanna ruin the work I did!) on the property he just painted - then most definitely go with Bunz Painting.

I am a superintendent for a commercial construction company. Bunz Painting did the take 5 oil change in Oshkosh wi. The owner was incredible to work with he went above and beyond in ever aspect! Communication is outstanding! Was the best price I could find in the area! The quality of his work was amazing! We pushed him pretty hard on a tight deadline he would stay late come in on weekend and never once disappointed me! Seriously one of the most amazing contractors iv worked with! Would recommend and hire him again in a heartbeat!

Phenomenal work ethic, communication, pricing, and attention to detail. They refinished all of our windows and repainted, and painted the siding. It's gorgeous. With all the sketchy stories you hear about contractors, I wanted to make sure it is known they are worth every penny!

We hired Bunz Painting, LLC initially to clean the ducts of our new home. They are very reasonably priced, and did an excellent job. Because of how professional and polite they were, on top of doing a great job, we hired them to repair and repaint the cracked, chipped, and peeling paint on our garage as well, as they offer a variety of services.
