Ray did a great job of evaluating my home and determined there were many improvements including decking that was not up to code per Christian County. My insurance company caused some delays but Abernathy Roofing was all over it and responded as soon as possible. As the project progressed and was approved by my insurance, Norm and his crew did an amazing job with their work and were respectful on the property. We had our roof redone about three years ago because of hail damage and a leak. The roof continued to leak and now we have a ceiling to be repaired. We have called two other roofers to fix the problem. We found out with the last roofer that there were whole sections of shingles with no nails. The section that had been leaking had no tar membrane under the shingles. There were metal pieces near the arch of part of the roof that were improperly installed. The indoor work we had done was satifactory.

I was needing a roof replacement, so I reached out for a quote. When setting up a roof inspection, communication was very faulty and inconsistent, as they told me two different dates/times and got upset with me when I asked for clarification. Mr. Gabriel did a nice job on the roof inspection, but unfortunately that was the only good thing I experienced with Abernathy. They quoted me $12k for a roof replacement, then an additional $2k for gutters. Then it increased to over $22,000 for soffit work, which I never requested a quote for. Before I knew the numbers, I had reached out several times over the course of 3-4 weeks requesting an update on the quote, each time was a different excuse. If I wouldve known it would take that long I never would have called them. After awhile I just got tired and annoyed with it, so I went with another company and only had to pay $7,600. Abernathy is obviously a big company, but for their size and complexity, they really drop the ball on following through with commitments, quotes, and communication. Not to mention, they wanted to charge me 3x as much as my other quotes. Absolutely outrageous. Glad I went with someone else.

Ethan Beuhlig worked with our contractor and ourselves seamlessly. The roof looks beautiful and Ethan was great at communication and quality control. Pleasant man to speak with as well and explained everything in laymom's terms. As a women, I never felt uncomfortable with him or talked down to, and ended up understanding alot! Frankly, I have a toddler who had sensory problems so I expected the banging to be a nightmare. Instead, Ethans crew took time to smile and wave during the process, nearly each time they saw him, and made it a lot less scary to him. Ive been saving for several years trying to get a leak resolved and ended up needing a full roof replacement as mine had outlived its lifespan and the damage from the leaks was too extensive to simply patch up. Everyone was very kind, respectful and worked out a plan I could manage to finally do after a long hard wait. Their crew was very punctual and appeared to work hard when the day came to start the actual project. I only noticed good people working hard and while they may have found ways to sprinkle in laughter here and there, they continued to work hard the whole time. I didnt notice any slacking. They shared any concerns they saw from their years of experience so it could be addressed and come up with a game plan. There were a couple things unexpected and they all did what needed to be done to get everything done and properly repaired so I wouldnt have to worry about anything. I feel like they truly went above and beyond to give me peace of mind and to keep me from having to worry about my roof again for a very long time to come. They even did a little work addressing an issue with my cricket (area near my chimney) to make sure it didnt leak again as it has been repaired many times since my family first owned this home and has had a leak that always managed to find its way back and forth over the years. Now I shouldnt have to worry about that anymore as theyve locked that down pretty solid from having to worry about that anymore and water should be better redirected now. They were all also very patient with all my questions so I fully understood what was happening plus my own curiosity in learning new things. With the way they handled everything throughout the experience, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing assistance in their own home projects. I feel like anyone would be in good hands with them and could trust them to do a honest job.

Kind of shady from my experience, proceed with caution. The consultant Alex told us we needed a new roof due to water damage and said we could parlay it into an insurance repair and get some interior paint work done too- win win situation, right? So we listened to the professional and filed a claim, but when the insurance adjuster came out, it was determined that we don't need a new roof after all and we essentially wasted our ability to make a legitimate insurance claim for the next 18 months or risk increasing our premiums. Alex did come to meet the adjuster at our house, which was nice, but still failed to produce the desired result which left us frustrated and questioning why a professional roofer would tell us we needed a new roof if we actually do not...

Exceptional Storm Damage Inspection by Rowdy Harris with Abernathy Roofing & Construction On April 29th, 2025, our city experienced a significant and severe thunderstorm, accompanied by substantial hail, which unfortunately resulted in widespread property damage. We had Rowdy Harris with Abernathy Roofing & Construction stop by our house. He introduced himself and offered to check our roof. I'd been putting it off because I'd rather go to the dentist than have my roof replaced! Rowdy was incredibly nice and very helpful throughout the process. He even offered to meet with our insurance inspector, which he did twice (the first appointment, at 7 AM, was rained out). Rowdy served as our advocate with the inspector, which we greatly appreciated. The inspection is now complete, and we're currently waiting to hear from the insurance company. Once Abernathy Roofing completes the roof replacement, I'll update this review with our full experience. UPDATE: Abernathy Roofing and Construction Company provided truly outstanding service for our new roof installation. They are the definition of professional and efficient! A massive crew of 14 people arrived at 6:30 AM and completed the entire roof replacement by 4:30 PM. To finish a job of that scale in a single day is remarkable. What made all the difference for me (a self-proclaimed roofingjobaphobic!) was the incredible project management. Vance Johnson and Jeff Brooks were on site all day long (at least one, and often both), ensuring everything ran smoothly and answering any questions. Their constant presence and professionalism made me completely comfortable throughout the process. Beyond the speed and supervision, the crew was all very polite and took great care to respect our property and belongings. The final result is excellent work. Choose Abernathyyou won't regret it!

They were super professional and amazing! Best of all they were quick and Norm was the best in the business, hands down! Anybody looking for roofing repair seriously needs to research these guys and if you don't have patience to review contracts then upload them to your chosen AI tool such as Chat GPT, to determine if you're making a good choice. We bought a house and continuously had leaking in multiple places. Called in at least 5 times about warranty etc. They state they come out and I never even seen them, finally got them out and they state its my gutters and we're under new management, let us get u some new gutters. Fast forward a week and had to have some electric work done, which had to pull a piece of ceiling down in garage. And my garage pretty much floods. We have a metal roof and when it rained it would roll down the metal to the edges of garage, which they said had nothing to do with the roof. Well all the sudden it was raining in our garage. The roof was rotting, etc... They finally decided to try and fix that at least. The job they did, just wow. There are holes in the wood right under my shingles, there is also like 4 pieces of scrap wood pieces in a few places they are using to hold the roof up... I do have pictures and they have refused to fix it. I have called and called and they will not return my calls. What stinks is, u have to pay to hire a lawyer to sue them. I am looking for a lawyer now and moving forward. It just stinks that u have a warranty, and then they do everything they can to say its something else and then if they do a claim, they make it worse than before. Why can't there be decent policies and procedures without trying to rip people off all the time.. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!

We had hail and wind damage this spring. Alex came out and looked over the damage. He even worked with the accessor for the insurance company. The Abernathy team was able to complete an entire replacement in 1 day and fixed an unknown leak around the chimney. The team was polite and answered all questions or concerns we had.
